What classifies as a library?:
What classifies as a library?:
- Loads of books in one place!
- Usually a communal area for Book Nerds to gather and read.
- The books are FREE!
Perks of a Library:
- FREE Books
- A wide array of books in many genres
- You can meet some nice folks while browsing.
- You can use the computers and WiFi to get an enormous amount of studying done in the silence of the library...
Their Impact on the Book industry:
- Huge book orders come in from libraries to publishers, boosting sales.
- The library holds events for publishers to come and peddle their books.
- Exposing the masses to the many books that they publish.
I am in heaven right now, I am sitting at an old table with a friend to my left and a book to my right :) The library system allows all people to read regardless of social standing or ROOM LEFT ON THEIR OWN SHELVES!
This is the equalizer of all, the library.
If the library is not being utilized the town or municipality can cut funding and the system may eventually fade and die, go out and support your local library today! Every Book Counts...
A post to warm a librarian's heart... :-)
